7st Baby – control review

Control has a great opening, combining captivating guitar work, confident drumming and strong vocals that carry you along with the music.

The album has a cinematic air that is easy to listen to whether you’re doing something or just sitting there enjoying the music of 7st Baby. I found the start of the song ‘Control’ a little creepy but it works well into the natural progression of the album which just gets even better as it goes along.

Each track flows flawlessly into the next making it so easy to listen to as you get lost in the music. The style of music sounds as if it may have been influenced by Queens of the Stone Age and, possibly Deftones as Psycho reminds me of Beauty School, but with their own twist of course which works to their advantage.

Overall, I would say that this album is a success and the omnipresent background stoner vibes are a major hit which make the album just that.
